Desserts are mostly ice cream made by the local dairies. They are very popular not only among the tourists, but also local people. Tourists are also served with candied fruit. Most of the sweets made in Cyprus have rosy, caramel or honey flavour. Honey is added to almost every pie made of puff pastry. Almost every pie contains nuts or almonds.
