Cyprus is famous for its wines – tourists may choose from dry, sweet, strong and light wines. You can buy the best kinds of wines in the wine-shops located in the old town. Very good source of refreshment is also, except for the wine, local beer – KEO is the main Cypriot brewery producing rather strong lager – 4,6% of alcohol. KEO bottles my suprise tourists from the continent, especially when taking into consideration their capacity – 0,33 and 0,645 l are the best bottles to slake the thirst. Cypriot alcohols are mainly made of grape spirit produced here in large quanities. Local brandy such as Peristani „31”, VSOP 12 or Five Kings are very popular in Cyprus – they are very good for long evening spent with friends or great fun in the night club; it is the ingredient of the citrus cocktails. Cypriot vodkas are also very good aperitifs.
