City Museum Leventis won in 1991 the award for the ‘European Museum of the Year’, what, except for the rich collection presenting Cypriot culture and history, makes the auhtorities of the city very proud.
In the building which originally belonged to the first newspaper editor in Cyprus – Dervis Pasa – there was organised the Museum of Ethnography with its interesting collections which present the life on the island.
