Inns

Inns called han used to be in every part of Cyprus. These were places where visitors could sleep, eat and rest. The facilities like that dissapeared form the south part of Cyprus, they were demolished or changed in regard to their look and function. The han, located near the bath house, is the only on the island and one of not many buildings of this type which has an ablution fountain (there are only three such fountains left in Turkey). Gamblers’ Inn is extremely interesting structure especially in regard to its architecture and function. Not long ago the Inn was open for visitors to stay, nowadays only the courtyard is accessible for the tourists. Those who are smart enough may see the first floor and the bedrooms, but first they have to arrange this visit with the team renovating the han.
