City Museum Leventis
City Museum Leventis won in 1991 the award for the ‘European Museum of the Year’, what, except for the rich collection presenting Cypriot culture and history, makes the auhtorities of the city very proud. The museum is located in the little manor in 17 Ippokrátous street. Enormous collection of clothes, photographs, domestic appliances, books and archeological discoveries is kept on two floors. Unfortunatelly the museum does not provide English descriptions, which is a great disadvantage. Only some of the exhibits are provided with descriptions in the language different from Greek.
